New pamphlet’s take on a better world: more humour

The world will be a much better place to live in if people stop taking themselves so seriously. This is according to a new pamphlet released online by a writer and musician from Milwaukee, who believes that people should stop taking themselves so seriously.

Adam Krause, a man who leads a double life as the drummer with Group of the Altos as well as a career in carpentry, produced “The Revolution Will Be Hilarious“. In just 41 pages, the artist made a very simple point indeed: if humanity is to survive the future, it needs to take itself with a pinch of salt.

He explained: “[A]uthority figures throughout my life have always felt the need to let me know that I should settle down and learn to take life a little more seriously. I always thought they were wrong. Totally, totally wrong. It seemed not only possible, but actually preferable, to do the things that are important to you, but approach them with a sense of fun and a refusal to take yourself too seriously.”

Krause told OnMilwaukee.com that his two books are “slim in size” for good reason, and hoped others would approach printing in a similar way. While not short of ideas, he asserted that they presented a valid means of “sharing quick-hitting arguments and ideas”.
