Is your website ready for ‘mobilegeddon’?

mobilegeddon

On 21st April 2015, Google are changing how they prioritise search results when browsing on a mobile phone.

This will have “significant impact” on sites not designed for smart phones. According to a Google survey, 94 per cent of people use a mobile phone to get local information and the vast majority of those searches actually take place at home or at work, despite it being likely the person searching could do so on a desktop computer.

Have a look at your website on your phone now. If you have to pinch and zoom to read your site then it’s very likely Google will rank your site lower when searching on a smart phone (searches on desktop, laptop and tablets are not affected.

You can check your site’s usability ranking according to Google here

There isn’t much time to get changes made but we’d recommend speaking to your website provider or having a chat with our friends at Nettl who can build you a new site which works beautifully on mobile, tablet and desktops too. To ease the pain, quote “mobilegeddon” and ask about sites that start from just £299.

As always you can order flyers from Flyerzone either uploading your own artwork for print or using one of our online designs:
